Colombian-born designer Juan Montoya is noted for his ability to blend elements of various cultures within his home constructs; a trademark style of shaping modernist features around antiquities and social themes, all the while paying close attention to structure, texture and volume. That unique style is on full display in Panama City, Florida, where one of Montoya’s custom designs has been listed for $1.3 million.
Clad in wood paneling with a Hickory tree, said to be the second oldest in Florida, expanding over it, the two-story home sits tucked away in the Old City, or, as the locals call it ‘Casco Viejo’, in walking distance from Saint Andrew Bay.
