The Penthouse, the Lighthouse and the Street

With hundreds of homeless people living on the streets of San Francisco within a couple blocks of the San Francisco Lighthouse church, the organization has created a program called “Meals on Heels” to provide food and compassion to those suffering on the streets during the cold season. Members of Lighthouse load up with thermo-backpacks every Friday night at 9:00 pm and take to the streets, providing soup and hot cocoa.
When interior designer Sophie Azouaou, a supporter of the Lighthouse, was working on her design projects at the SOMA Grand, a new high rise on Mission Street, she got the idea that she could use the space for a fundraiser to help the Lighthouse’s efforts — and thus, this Fall’s interior design “ShowRise” was born.
This exciting event, featuring a silent auction to raise proceeds for the homeless, will take place at the penthouse level of the SOMA Grand, with beautiful views of City Hall and the Bay. A special selection of penthouse residences will be open for an invitation-only evening, showcasing the design talents of Sophisticate Interiors, and the showroom offerings of Ochi & Company, Fabricut, The Sherill Collection, and DJ Mehler, among others based in the San Francisco Design Center.
Instone Granite and Marble has supplied the beautiful stonework for the three penthouses. Quality hardware pieces from Bouvet Hardware of France will be on display, as well as new finishes such as porcelain iridescent tiles, 3 dimensions white wall tiles, Sea Foam colored floor tiles from Villeroy & Boch 1748, Eco-friendly white wood floors, C2 low VOC paint from G&R Paint, Crystal faucets from French company THG, New Crypton fabric, state of the art Viking appliances and more.
Event planning and publicity is being managed by Spritz Marketing. It should be an exciting evening offering some of the best in San Francisco design, while helping those who are in need.
